Trident Security

Trident Security is one of Queensland's leading security companies and in 2010 was looking to expand its operations nationally.

Client brief

Trident Security approached Cole Lawson Communications in September 2010 to develop a communication strategy to support and enhance Trident’s ambitious growth plans.

Cole Lawson recommended a three-phase approach, starting with the rebranding of Trident’s logo, website and corporate collateral and the development of key messages and capabilities statements.

Our work

Cole Lawson worked closely with graphic design agency QUAD and in December 2010 launched a new, modern brand that showcased Trident's best-in-class service and to support its expansion into the national market.

In early 2011 Trident Security launched its new website which Cole Lawson developed to appeal to a national client base and change customer perceptions that the business was only servicing Queensland.

Cole Lawson developed a comprehensive communication plan that outlined strategies to:
  • Promote Trident Security’s brand and capabilities within the media, within the security industry and within key target industry sectors
  • Build Trident Security’s media profile and develop long-term relationships with key media
  • Position Trident Security as an innovative leader in the security industry
  • Highlight regulatory issues and infractions to relevant government bodies.
Following the communication planning Cole Lawson commenced a 12-month media relations and marketing campaign to help Trident reach its goals.

Outcomes

The rebrand and communication planning helped Trident win two awards at the 2011 Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence for Security Management and Individual Achievement – General Security.

In 2013 Trident Security expanded its operations to incorporate cleaning services and rebranded to Trident Services.

Cole Lawson worked closely with the business for more than three years to support it through its growth and acquisitions, evolving our services to include the development of strategic internal communications material.
